Through our proud Paarl GHS Association
This Association acts as an umbrella for two categories of members. These two categories are Old Girls and Pro Girls (Pro Girls Higher)
"Away from Paarl when years have passed, with joy we will still commemorate those days."
We encourage roles of support, sisterhood and mentorship that continue even after our matriculants leave our beautiful school.
We use Alumnet where the happenings of our Old Girls/Alumni are communicated to members.
However, it is so easy to lose contact with our Old Girls as they enter the world, create careers and get married. The latter, especially when maiden surnames change, makes it very difficult to find our Old Girls. We encourage you to register on the Alumnet platform as an Old Girl. This will provide you with the opportunity to stay in contact with the school, your former classmates, and to receive up to date information.
Please consider your continued support to Girls High scholars and the school. This could be financially towards a specific project (of which we would love to share details with you), through mentoring/job shadowing opportunities, or by sharing your expertise and career advice with our scholars.
We invite you to visit our website and Paarl Girls’ High/Hoër Meisieskool Paarl social media platforms on a regular basis to share your views, provide input such as photographs, news and stories and to participate in our activities.
A Pro Girls member can be a parent, supporter, male or female. The Pro Girls category will be managed by the Executive Committee of the GHS Association. We encourage you to register on the Alumnet platform as a Pro Girl. This will provide you with the opportunity to get in touch with other parents and supporters.

With our passion to support our learners we are excited to introduce a MENTORING initiative. Our kick-off project is MY CAREER! This will encompass support and information sharing around career aspects such as study fields, study institutions, career options, possible job shadow opportunities, networking and support around own businesses.
We have a wealth of knowledge and experience amongst us that will empower our learners to make informative decisions with regards to their future and their career paths.
We are creating a library of information regarding various Study and Career options. You have the opportunity to be part of this exciting project, by submitting information in a google questionnaire. You will also be provided with the opportunity to to share information in video format. All videos and information will be stored by the school and can be used in various ways for the learners, in conjunction with the responsible representative at the school.
We call on all OLD GIRLS and PRO GIRLS to share information on their STUDIES & CAREER with Girls’ High learners.
There are two options available to submit your information: VIDEO & QUESTIONNAIRE.
